Message From the Director

Welcome to the Directorate of Information and Communications Technology Services (ICTs) at Busitema University. Our Mandate to oversee and coordinate the delivery of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services to the University's various functional units according to their needs. The Directorate of ICT provides the Busitema community with a broad range of ICT services including backbone support for E-learning, developing and managing systems, Managing University Networks, CCTV camera management, user support and training. We have a dedicated team of qualified and experienced staff deployed across all our campuses. Team work is at the center of our operations and we work closely in collaboration with key stakeholder departments such as the University Library, Academic Registrar, Finance, Quality Assurance, Human Resource and all Faculties.

In ensuring effective and efficient service delivery, DICTs is structured in three main sections that is E-learning, Systems security, Databases and Technical support services. In addition to our full time staff we also have graduate fellows and periodically we recruit student’s interns who support the running of the DICTs’ core functions.

The DICTs’ focus is to champion the digitalization of University processes so as to improve on teaching, learning, research and community outreach by the University. We commit to enhance the Busitema University community experience of the digital age by providing ICT based solutions to most of the ICT challenges facing the University community.
